Insurance Plans

To ensure you can get the care you need, UNC Physician Network practices participate in a wide range of health plans and accepts most major insurance providers; however, it is important that you contact your insurance provider before receiving treatment to verify that you have full coverage. You should also determine your individual plan requirements regarding referrals, authorizations and co-pay/deductible amounts. View a list of our health plans accepted.

To refill a prescription, call your pharmacy in advance. Please call at least 7 business days before you will run out of medication. The pharmacy’s telephone number and your prescription number are listed on the prescription package. Most prescriptions can be refilled by following this simple procedure.

Some medications require an office visit prior to refill. Examples that require an office visit include all controlled prescription medications (such as stimulants, opioids, and benzodiazepines), and any prescription medications if you have not had an appointment at the FMC within the last 12 months.

If an appointment is required, please schedule through My UNC Chart or call 984-215-4780 to make an appointment. Bring all current prescriptions and over-the-counter (OTC) medications with you for your doctor to review.

Please contact our office via My UNC Chart or at 984-215-4780 if there are any changes in your preferred pharmacy, or if you need an appointment or other information.
