Aaron Leininger, MD, Executive Medical Director, Johnston, Nash, & Rockingham Counties

Aaron Leininger, MDAaron Leininger, MD, is the Executive Medical Director, Johnston, Nash, & Rockingham Counties for UNC Physicians Network, as well as a practice physician at UNC Orthopedics & Sports Medicine at Clayton.

Dr. Leininger attended Clemson University and majored in mechanical engineering for his undergraduate degree before attending medical school at UNC Chapel Hill.  He completed a family medicine residency and sports medicine fellowship at Cone Health in Greensboro, North Carolina. He practiced in primary care for five years before transitioning to sports medicine in 2015. 

He is board-certified in internal and sports medicine. He brings experience working in four major health systems, and is currently completing his MBA from Fayetteville State University with specialization in healthcare management. 

 


   

Sachin Gupta, MD, Chief Medical Officer & Interim Executive Medical Director, Triangle West

Sachin Gupta, MD

Sachin Gupta, MD, is the Chief Medical Officer & Interim Executive Medical Director, Triangle West for UNC Physicians Network, as well as a practicing primary care physician at UNC Family Medicine at Panther Creek.  

He is experienced in managing physician relations and working to build successful clinical teams to create positive patient outcomes. Dr. Gupta earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Virginia Commonwealth University. 

He earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed his residency in family medicine from Halifax Medical Center.  He is board-certified in family medicine.

 


Wayne Jarman, MD, Executive Medical Director, Wayne & Lenoir

Wayne Jarman, MDWayne Jarman, MD, is the Executive Medical Director, Wayne & Lenoir for UNC Physicians Network, as well as a general surgery physician at UNC Surgical Specialist at Lenoir.

Dr. Jarman’s family roots are in North Carolina, and he came to the state for undergraduate studies at Wake Forest University at 1966.

He received his medical degree at the Boyman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem in 1974 and remained there for his general surgery residency training. Dr. Jarman opened his first practice in Statesville, North Carolina and moved to Kinston in 1996. He is board-certified in surgery.

     

     


Dr. Rachael Hollifield, Executive Medical Director, Triangle East

Dr. Rachael HollifieldRachael Hollifield, DO, is the Executive Medical Director, Triangle East for UNC Physicians Network, as well as a practicing primary care physician at UNC Family Medicine at Wakefield, where she previously served as Medical Director.  

Dr. Hollifield earned her undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. She earned her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency with Riverside Family Medicine Residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center. She is board certified in family medicine.

Outside of work, she enjoys running, camping, baking and spending time with her family and friends.
